How far that little candle throws his beams

Ben asked me to make him a carmel cake for his birthday. I don't know why he loves it so much, but I made one for him. I think I am going to have to make a bigger one next year to hold the candles! Ok to all of you who are older, I of course am only joking. We will just eventually have to go to the big candles shaped like numbers. :) We celebrated Ben's birthday by going to church, going out to eat lunch at one of Ben's favorite places to eat, swimming at my grandparents, and then putting the kids to bed and enjoying a second helping of cake.
I can't believe we have been celebrating birthdays together for so long. I am so thankful for this day and for Ben!! He is such a blessing!!
Grady will eat anything you feed him. As long as he is eating he is usually very happy.
Tyler loves going out to eat. Especially buffet when he can be a "big" boy and fix his own just the way he likes it.

If you will notice in this picture...Benjamin is wearing a pink Little Mermaid swim diaper. This is why I don' t ask Ben to go to the store very often.

Ben got a Killowatt (he truly loves it and has been checking all of our appliances to see how efficient they are!) and a star trek ornament to go with his collection. Benjamins face is hilarious in this picture! I might get him the same things since he seemed so impressed with his daddy's.

In a nutshell...

This summer has been going by so fast, and since our recent move I haven't been very good at keeping up this blog. So I decided to post some pictures of our summer.

Benjamin has learned the fine art of jumping in the pool over and over and over again. Each time shouting "Mommy watch me!"

He loves to have his picture taken!

Tyler has now mastered swimming underwater.

My grandma always offers up food when we come out to swim.

Ben enjoyed teaching the kids about dry ice.

We have gone on hikes....
car rides.....

given a million baths....

enjoyed the household entertainment...

found out Grady is really a cowboy....

played in the backyard...

gone to celebration city....

gotten wet at celebration city...
watched some baseball games...
and gone to a boyscout ceremony. It really has been a great summer. I am sad it is halfway over!

Journey to the movie theatre...

Going to the movies with the 3 kids this young is impossible!! But fortunately we have some good friends who had the great idea of setting up a trading off babysitting system! It is perfect. We babysit for them, they babysit for us. We hadn't used up our token for babysitting yet, and it seemed like a great night to use it. So Ben and I took Tyler to see JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH tonight. It was so fun!!! I don't think I have ever been to a 3D movie before (or maybe I just can't remember). Wait...unless you count the IMAX, but I always got that car sick feeling at the IMAX and never ever lasted all the way through the show. Anyways, I wasn't excited at first because I was expecting those paper blue and red glasses that won't stay on! But apparently the world of 3D glasses has come along way. They stayed on the whole time and I barely noticed I was wearing them.

It was so nice to take this little guy out and get some alone time with him. He enjoyed his popcorn, candy, drink, and the movie. He got a little scared, but I saw him raise his glasses off his face and look at the floor during the intense part of this PG movie. So cute!!! I loved the movie! Ben said it was "OK," but he is just a fuddy duddy...it was great and silly!

A picture for your amusement!! Hey, they are better than the red and blue ones!

Delightfully Entertaining

We are so happy to be back home and enjoying the simplicity of summer!! It is so nice!! There isn't much traffic, my grandparents have a pool 8 minutes away (yes I timed it!!), and our new back yard has plenty of shade for all of these red heads!! All I need now is a hammock and a good book.

For the 4th we had some friends down from Rogers to join us in our cheesy, yet amusing, festivities. It started with my grandparents long running 4th pool party with family, friends and too much food, and ended with the dance infront of the Lyric downtown. That's right people...it doesn't take much to entertain this family. It was free, the kids had a blast, and admittadly Ben and I did as well.

Here are some pictures of the weekend...

Okay...Okay

So I haven't blogged in forever!! But I am going to try and start putting more post up!!! Recent news....we moved...Grady is one....we are loving summer!!
