I can remember when Ben and I were 16, maybe 17, and talking about what we would be doing when we were old...ya know...like 30. Ha Ha Ha! Well 30 wasn't so old or far off it turns out. Ben turned the Big THREE O in July. I thought about having a huge party, but that just isn't him.
His parents had a lake house and boat while he was growing up (which they have since sold so go ahead and insert a tear, wipe, and flick now) and he loved to water ski. So for his birthday this year his sister and parents,along with their RV, joined us at Beaver Lake to enjoy a day on a rented ski boat.
He skied some and we tubed a lot. It was super fun!!
Even though the ideas we had at 16 and 17 of what 30 would be turned out to not be realistic...I don't think either of us would trade this life for any other. I am so happy God's plans are better than anything we can plan for ourselves!
I have decided if I am going to have to grow old anyways I am glad I get to do it with this wonderful guy!
